In a season during which everyone is searching for fall flavors, Beasley’s Orchard, located in Danville, has been providing fresh-picked apples for students in all 12 Avon schools.

Avon High School is hosting its annual Trunk-or-Treat event on October 30 to celebrate Halloween with the community. It will be a fun and age-appropriate event for the whole family!

More than 1.3 million US juniors in about 21,000 high schools entered this year's National Merit Scholarship Program and seven AHS students earned a spot on the list of 16,000 Semifinalists.

Avon is participating in a pilot program called ILEARN Checkpoints, an initiative by the IDOE designed to help students from Grades 3 to 8 in assessing their progress in key skills and concepts in English/Language Arts and Math.
