Medical Device Class Meets Service Dog In Training

Before the Thanksgiving break, Mrs.Sndyer's medical device class had a chance to meet 11-month-old Labrador Jupiter. He's a dog from the Canine Companions service program.

Korina Sarkar has been fostering the dog to teach it 30 basic commands. Jupiter will be returned to Canine Companions next year to begin formal training in specific services. Korina and her mother presented how the dog is used in the medical world and demonstrated some of the commands they are currently teaching him.
