Crochet Club Turnout
Clubs for the 2025-2026 school year are underway, and crochet club met in mid-September with a wonderful turnout!
Forty kids showed up for the first meeting. Club leaders Ashley Koontz and Kaitlin Dugan will guide the students through three projects in the first semester (yarn chain bookmark, wireless earbud case, and a winter hat). All skill levels are invited to join!
Those students who are brand-new beginners will receive the attention they need for successful projects. Some of the more advanced crochet members will be able to make a few bookmarks and a couple of headphone cases for friends by the time we are all ready to move on.
Next semester, students will have the opportunity to choose more about what they want to work on, as they have the basics down.
Crochet club meets Friday mornings before school, with a few after school "retreats" planned after school.
