Several resources are available to help every Avon family ensure there is plenty of nutritious food on-hand to help make this the best summer ever.

Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry

Avon's own Mary Lee Maier Community Pantry continues weekly operations through the summer. The pantry is open every Thursday (except July 3) from 5:00-6:00 pm at Avon Intermediate School East/Evergreen Elementary. Visit the pantry webpage to learn more.

Hendricks County Health Partnership

USDA Site Finder

The site finder is updated with new state submissions every Friday throughout the summer. Please contact the site directly or your state agency to explore additional meal service options that may be available where you live. Visit the Site Finder website.

Hunger Hotline

Families seeking food assistance for their children can contact the USDA National Hunger Hotline, operated by Hunger Free America. The hotline can be reached Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm at 1 (866) 348-6479 (English) or 1 (877) 842-6273 (Spanish).

SUN Bucks is Discontinued

We were informed that the Summer EBT (SUN Bucks) program has been discontinued in 2025 per the State of Indiana.
