To encourage the quest for knowledge and promote the joy of reading by providing access to a variety of materials that meet both the educational curriculum and recreational reading needs of the middle school student.
I have worked for Avon Schools for over 22 years in the Avon Community Schools. I grew up with dyslexia and had to overcome many educational hurdles. I now use those experiences to help my students achieve their reading, educational and personal goals. Students today have the world at their fingertips. Helping students to maneuver through the mazes of reading, resources, research, misinformation, and social media is an essential part of what I do daily.
I grew up in the Washington DC area and moved to Indiana to attend College. I have two grown children, two grandsons and a granddaughter. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, traveling, hiking, sewing and swimming.
