Girls Golf

(9/22) The girls had a great night in their last regular season match. South won 118-121. Audrey Hershey was a medalist shooting a 34! The girls last match of the season is Saturday at Pebble Brook Golf Course competing in the conference tournament.

7th Grade Volleyball

9/20) The 7th grade volleyball team picked up a big win last night against Center Grove North. With a grade won 2-1 while 8th grade won 2-0. Many girls stepped up and played well. Their next game is tomorrow against Franklin Central in the first round of the Northwest Suburban Conference Tournament. That game will start at 6:00 in the West Gym.

(9/22) ~ The 7th grade had a big win in the first round of the Northwest Suburban Conference tournament. The girls went to three sets and fought hard and found a way to win! They play Saturday against Brownsburg East at Zionsville Middle School in the semi-final round.

8th Grade Volleyball

Boys Cross Country

(9/19) ~ Cross Country had two nice wins last night at Cascade.  Quin Murray led the boy’s team. The teams are back in action tomorrow night at Zionsville Middle School.

(9/21) ~ The Boys Cross Country team lost to Zionsville Middle School.  Top runners for the boys were Murray placing first and Carson placing fifth.

Girls Cross Country

(9/19) ~ Cross Country had two nice wins last night at Cascade.  Ella Staton led the girl’s team. The teams are back in action tomorrow night at Zionsville Middle School.

(9/21) The Girls Team lost to Zionsville Middle School.  Top finishers for Avon were Staton 1st, and Smyth placing 2nd.  Great Job Girls.

7th Grade Football

(9/22) The 7th grade football team lost a nail biter to Zionsville Middle School 14-16.  Lorenz Neal scored on a pass from Jacob Brown.  Brown then ran it in for another touchdown and added a 2 point conversion.  The defense was led by Gerber, Lindsay, Beck, Neal, Brown, Sullivan, and Wright.  There is no practice tonight.  

8th Grade Football

(9/22) 8th grade football had an exciting finish. Trailing 6-0 most of the game, they score with three minutes to go. The defense had one last stop in them to hang on for the win. Football is back in action next Thursday against Brownsburg West. We would love to have as many students as possible attend the tailgate before the game and then cheer on our football team.
